Plasma-polymerized and bio-functional coatings

The control of chemical processes in the plasma allows a specific adjustment of the attributes of substrate coatings. Coatings can be modified - changed in their attributes - or stocked with new functions (i.e. scratch-proof or biological compatibility) by coating (i.e. with polymers).

A specific role takes the interaction of a surface and the environment, especially in the technique of medicine and at the life sciences in general.

The workgroup "Plasma-polymerized and bio-functional coatings" is under construction at the moment. Your contact partner for helpful suggestions or questions is Dr. Christian Oehr at the Fraunhofer IGB.
