The coatings of large areas involve special challenges. To adjust steady attributes of a coating system of an architectural glass pane whilst a large extension, the coatings have to be produced very homogeneously. Therefore the Know-How for choosing the right parameters of a coating, cathodic geometries and arrangements as well as the right power supply is essential.
Those problems are not just relevant for windowpanes, but for displays and solar panels.
The workgroup "Large-area coatings" will deal with those specific problems of the topic. The group is still under construction.
