Short Film - Grand Award

INPLAS e.V. - located in Fraunhofer IST - wins outstanding award at the first Cannes Corporate Media & TV Contest.

Towards strong competitors with a total number of applicants from 27 countries worldwide the short informational film of 10 minutes "Plasma - a bright advantage" wins one of the two top prizes in its category, selected by an international jury of specialists in Vienna.

From the flood of films only 77 movies were nominated. The success of the plasma film was celebrated in the course of a ceremonial festivity on 14 October 2010 in Cannes. 

The film - created by the media agency CONMEDIA in Braunschweig and INPLAS e.V. - was dubbed in English and German and is supposed to promote plasma technologies towards users in industry as well as opinion leaders in schools and universities.

Distribution of the film via DVD shall intensify the awareness of "Industrial Plasma Technologies" - amongst experts also known as "Thin Film Technologies". Hence, the film shows the potential of its versatile applicability. The short movie therefore is also interesting for high school classes and technically interested laymen.
