Starting signal for the German prize of material efficiency

The German Federal Minister for Economics and Technology, Rainer Brüderle, announces the start of this year's competition.

As every year, also in 2010 the German Federal Ministry for Economics and Technology (BMWi) awards the German prize of "material efficiency". Besides four mid-size companies also a research organization will be awarded, which can convice the jury with applied results from their research activities concerning material efficiency in practice.

"Especially in economically difficult times material-efficient economic activities bring companies on the winning ways. Particularly, mid-sized companies can enhance their competitiveness and performance. It is my wish to draw the public attention to that even more", emphasized Federal Minister Rainer Brüderle.

Further information on the initiative can be found here (only in German).
