ViaMéca and INPLAS sign cooperation treaty

On April 21st, 2010, INPLAS and the French pôle de compétitivité ViaMéca announced their cooperation and strategic partnership in the course of a press conference at Hanover Fair HMI 2010. Principal and Head of section Dr. Jäkel was welcoming the French delegation and representatives of the press on the booth of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology BMWi.

After the introduction of the initiative Kompetenznetze Deutschland (Networks of Competence Germany) by Dr. Meier zu Köcker, Prof. Bräuer (Head of the Board, INPLAS) and Mr. Malet (Vize-President, ViaMéca) presented the core competencies of the two networks in the fields of plasma surface technology and mechanical engineering. The overlap - as basis for the cooperation - can be entitled as "Plasma surface technologies meet mechanical engineering".

The next day, April 22nd, 2010, there was a common workshop - conducted by Ubifrance Germany - for cross-linking French and German partners in four separate partial sessions. Further meetings are planned starting in June 2010.
