High-ranking experts from industry and research as well as network manager get together twice a year for a two-day experience and knowledge exchange called Arbeitskreis Plasma - AK Plasma.
On November 17, 2009 the coordinating committee of AK Plasma held an autumnal conference in Aßlar. Facility tours trough Pfeiffer Vacuum GmbH, PVA TePla AG and Leica Microsystems completed the first day of the autumnal conference.
On November 18, 2009 interesting dialogs and top-class presentations with the focus on turbo molecular pump, vacuum measuring, products of the semi conductor, display and live science market and aerospace as well as plasma nitriding and plasma CVD formed the scope.
At the AK Plasma meeting of members on November 18, 2009 a renaming of the Arbeitskreis was decided, because there is a risk that the advanced technology "Plasma technique" is going to be degraded by modifying the basic conditions of the politic and by significant under-representation in political committees and in public. Therefore a reorientation of the committee and an enhanced external presentation of the plasma technique were main topics at the conference.
With this a renaming of the Arbeitskreis was required.
A new name with a successful orientation: "Plasma Germany".
