This time the organizer is the "Institut für Oberflächen- und Schichtanalytik IFOS GmbH" in cooperation with the technical university of Karlsruhe, the German Vacuum Society DVG e.V. (Deutsche Vakuumgesellschaft) as well as the appropriated scientifical society in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland. The scientific program should deepen the experience and information exchange for the use of physical methods concerning to surface, coating and depth profile analytics. Ongoing problems should be revealed and new developments are going to be demonstrated.
The conference should introduce progress reports of analyzer, material scientists, solid body physics and chemists as well as technologists to the mentioned analytic methodical developments and scientific technological problems.
A special focus of the AOFA 16 is going to be the information exchange and the discussion between user and handler in the industry as well as the developer and operator of surface analytics. The conference program involves both invited talks and submitted short presentations.
